A historical patrimony with castles, picturesque chapels and museums, in a region with typical stone quarries: this is the (green) setting of these brewery. The romantic village of Ecaussinnes, in the province of Hainaut, is on a 2 hour drive from the coast, from Antwerp and Liège. An old brewery is imbedded in a rustic farmhouse, a style reflected in the design of the entire property. In the taste hall, the beer lover can enjoy a home brewed 'Ultra-Beer'. The taste buds will also find a lot of beer accents in the regional dishes, as of 10 euro!
The garden terrace has an excellent view on the vast green landscape of this quiet region. The search engine of the communal website http://www.ecaussinnes.be shows you the rich historical background of these brewery, and how it revived in recent times, thanks to the young managers.
There's a spacious parking ground and for accommodation there are three hotels nearby. U can reach the village by the E19, exit Ecaussinnes. The brewery is closed in January, the tavern is open on Saturday and Sunday from 14 to 22 hours (is the in-between season also on Friday night en in the summer on Thursday). The halls can used at any moment, after agreement.
The two halls offer sitting space to 420 persons at tables (450 for receptions), but if necessary larger groups can be accommodated.
The 'Salle du Brasseur' offers - next to the authentic installation of the brewery itself - room for 200 persons.
